I have a 94 Bronco with 302, and a 94 F-250 with a 460. When you change the oil in the Bronco it makes a mess running down the front differential and frame.
I noticed the 460 in the F-250 has a right angle adapter on the block to turn the oil filter out toward the front of the truck. It makes oil changes a breeze. I am wondering if the adapter will fit the 302 since they both use the same oil filter.
Has anyone used the right angle oil filter adapter off of a 460 on their 302?

If you angle the filter forward wont that rub aginst the lower radiator hose? And how is it going to keep oil from spilling out all over the front cross member and axel?
It turns the oil filter toward the front and extends it away from the block with no hose clearance problems. The only problem I have with the 460 is that it drips oil onto the drag link, but if you turn the wheels to the left, it will miss the linkage.
When changing oil, I always punch a hole in the bottom of the filter and let it drain before I remove the filter. I hate to drip oil on the front crossmember and axle.
