Installing new fuel pump
I just changed out frame mounted fuel pump on diesel Excursion but could not figure out how to connect front line to custum fitting spline to diesel line tubing. There is a 4 pronged piece that connects the front tubing to pump. Some how it compresses and slips onto tubing. Anyone have knowledge of installation, I would appreciate.

Are you talking about the part labled as #1
Disconnect the fuel pump delivery line.
Slide the clip up and off from the quick connect fitting.
Insert the fuel line tool.
Remove the fuel pump delivery line.
Reverse to reinstall
Disconnect the fuel pump delivery line.
Slide the clip up and off from the quick connect fitting.
Insert the fuel line tool.
Remove the fuel pump delivery line.
Reverse to reinstall

It almost sounds like he is referring to the feed side of the system with that funky clip there. Push/pull hose while depressing tabs and working the clip or whatever it is called out from the other end.
