ABS light
Just putting this out there for general knowledge. My ABS light came on about 2 months ago. Truck has about 190K on it, I drive about 1500 a week. After researching FTE I came to the conclusion that the issue was a front ABS sensor or front sealed bearing hub. My spedo worked fine from 0 MPH up, so I ruled out the rear VSS. I Pulled both the front hubs to check bearing's for play and to make sure the ABS ring was centered in sensor hole, all was well so I figured it was a sensor. Finally got it by a friend's shop today and the code was for the VSS. I replaced the VSS and light is gone.
From everything I have read on the forum if the VSS is bad the spedo will not work below 15 MPH. Just wanted to let everyone know that is not always the case.
