It's the same size. I have to believe that it is going to be using a different wiring harness and mounting scheme than the 05-07's used. I suppose that it could be done if you were willing to cut up the factory harness in your truck and try to make your own mounting kit. Also, I'm not sure how the GPS antenna is wired, you would probably have to find one and route it somehow. And I would hate to even guess what the cost would be. I know that buying anything from Ford after you order the vehicle tends to cost more than ordering the vehicle with it so the nav unit will prob be $2000 plus.
I would really look at some of the aftermarket double din units. They will look pretty close to factory, offer more options, and be cheaper.
You can fit a double din in an 99-04 super duty by trimming the top and bottom portion of the radio opening. This has been discussed on here many times. Bucky and I have posted in other threads what install kit to use and what to trim, I would suggest looking for one of those threads if you are interested in doing this.
As for 05-07 there is an install kit available that makes fitting a double din radio very easy and clean looking.
