Best Extended Warranty

Just bought a used F-150 4WD Larait with 30,000 miles. Anyone have good luck with an extended warranty company? Any companies to stay away from?

Thanks

I researched pricing on the internet, then took the best coverage and price to my dealer and they matched it. Worked best for me.

I got a 5 yr/100k/$0 deductible and Paid $1350 @ 35,850 miles.

Extended warranty pricing is very flexible, that why I chose to take best internet price to dealer. I like a face to face negotiation. Sometimes I think they get the delta of the actual cost, and what they end up selling it for.

I can't remember, just do your own DD on the net. Plenty of comapnies offering them.

You might be able to get a Ford policy here on the internet for a decent price.

Check out y2kfordparts here on the forum. Ed sells the ford ESP warranties at a very fair price. That's what I went with. The "aftermarket" extended warranties aren't worth the paper they print them on.

Hea guys, I make $100-$200 over cost on the ESP and that just so I can cover the cost of the credit card charges and still make a buck.

If you can get it for a better price they are doing it for free!

Thanks for the prop's Scott!

I agree, if you are going to get a extended warranty the only logical solution is a Ford ESP!

I baught one through another sponser here on FTE (Sweeney Ford) for my gorl friends Escape. A very good price. It has already half paid for itself in a couple months. Her heater motor crapped out and she paid the deductable and that was that. The warranty is in Ford's computers. They look up the VIN and bingo!

No crazy paperwork to get the other company to pay Ford.

Hey that sounds great i think im going to go with the FORD ESP. The aftermarket ones just dont give that warm fuzzy feeling.

With the ESP do you have to go to the dealer for service or can you go to your local shop ?

You have to go to a Ford dealer for the warranty work.

I if any will only use the manufacturers ESP for now on. I got burned using a company out of Arizona on my previous EXPY. Live and learn!
