Another Turbo Question
Trying to understand this turbo stuff. My question is what would this do for my stock trubo? Will this make my turbo more loud?
Also would I want the wastgated or non wastgated? Im talking about the first one here. The 1.0 turbo housing kit.

With average mods (ie chip, intake, exhaust), you can get away with the non-wastegated housing. If you plan on some mild injectors or other go fast goodies, then you'll need a wastegate.
The purpose of the wastegate is to bleed off excess exhaust gasses. This helps to reduce drive pressures before they get too high and destroy your turbo. A larger turbine housing already reduces drive pressures as it is able to move more exhaust, but if you are adding a ton of fuel, then you are right back where you started.

If your looking to make for more turbo sound, ****** the foil off the intercooler tube and remove the hood insulation. Then use the money you would spend on the housing and get a DP-Tuner and gauges.
