ok i called steve, the lift is comming out. the 33's are comming off and the gears are untouched, though he did say he changed the fluid front and rear every 20k,he going to return the truck to pretty much stock hight, hinus the 2" body lift, which shouldent affect much. and i can gaurentee the 4.0 will get much better that that 351w, the old truck runs great, but since most of my driving is flat and straight with a few mole hills in beteewn and a half dozen or so lights, it should bring good millage. i refuse to drive a car, i have too much gear i have to haul around, chain saws, fire dept. equiptment, plus i need to pull a small flat trailer and how can i hual a four wheeler with a car? i dont want a car. ill make up the few MPG less in truck by its utilty. plus its a stick, i hate the auto trans in the truck.

I hate and automatic in anything. Anyways minus the lift... no more bearing and joint issues. Still a good buy in my book. In my area I still 92s like mine for twice that if they are fust free, and in order.

The ball is in your court, let us know how it all goes down.

GOT THE TRUCK...drove it into work today, runs like a raped ape, that 4.0 with a 5 speed seems like it has more ***** then that 351w with an E4OD auto! it didnt have thr front driveshaft hooked up yet, i have it and new U joints to go in after i get home in the morning, but we had about 2" of snow on the roads and it hualed up the hills with out fishtailling or skidding once, probly alot to do with the P235 B/F Goods KO Mud terrains all around on the truck. tommorow im hooking up the drive shaft and my emergency lights (lightbar, siren, Wig-Wag's, ect) and getting a set of decent 6" 55W or better off road lights for the grille guard. ill post pics when i get a chance to take a few. gotta say, for my first ranger, im in love. and it is great on gas, for 75 miles the needle moved from the 1/2 tank mark to about the widith of the needle down, and i put in 8 or so gallons. whats the capicity of an avrage Ranger Fuel tank? 16 gallons?

Usually 18 gallons for the extended cab if I recall that correctly from memory.

Glad you're enjoying the truck, grab some pics of it for us if you get the chance.

Now, I belive it's 16 gallons for the reg-cab and the supercab like mine is 19.5, I don't know what it was back then. Zach should have nailed as he has a 94 reg-cab..

Wendell got it right. It's 16 for regular cab and 19.5 for extended cab according to my manual for my '94.

No kidding...my 4.0L gets about 18 around town, but I don't drive like a grandma, I'm a 2500 shifter or so, rev it out as need be or I feel like it.

I did break 23 on the highway with a nice tailwind one time.
