How to Restore the Removal Top

I have a 96 Bronco, and the top is black. It has started to fade some, and didn't know if anyone had any tips as to what would help bring the oringal color back. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How to Restore the Removal Top

I tried this product and it did seem to bring some of the color back to the sides but it did not seem to make much of a difference on the top. The downside was the first time it rained I ended up with streaks on the side of my truck and the only way i could get them off was to rewax the sides of the truck. I just tried a product by Pennzoil. You wash the vehicle with it and its suppose to wax it at the same time. I just used it on the roof because I only use Meguiars on my Bronco. It kind of had the same effect. It doesn't really fix the faded top part but does shine up the sides and rubber trim and it does not streak the sides of the truck when it rains. I also found it does a nice job on the wifes Buick.

That would be my solution. There are those who've said they've used rattle cans of Krylon or such with good luck. I wouldn't think that having a body shop shoot it with a quality urethane or such would be too pricey, either, but I guess it would depend upon the shop.

Just paint it with some spray-can stuff that matches; semi-gloss, if memory serves.
Or redo the whole thing in whatever color you want; it's just fibreglas, and it takes color well.

Just make sure you get all the old wax off first.

I used a product br STONER. It's called shine spray. It works great makes yourm tail lights like new and you can spray on any part of your truck paint windows etc..... it will only come off if you use dish soap to wash your truck. I use the commercial strength. It only costs $3.50
