Motor Vin #?

where do i fint VIN code on the motor the truck is a 91 f-150 but the motor is out of and 93 F-150 explorer i want to see if there is any difference between this motor and what came stock in my truck

Motors don't have VINs cast on them. The individual parts (block & heads) have part numbers. In your case, I'm assuming you're talking about the 5.0 in both vehicles. I believe the block is the same but the explorer has different heads. Also, just because the blocks are the same doesn't mean the motor is - it might have a different cam, different lifters, etc.

thats what im thinking because my pops has a 93 f-150 with the 5.0 all the same gearing and all but my truck absolutely obliterates his in a drag. but i have a slight hesitation and i think it may be because of a diferent vacum than the computers set up for due to different heads and or cam.

Casting VINs in the block is a GM thing. Ford never did that AFAIK.
