Please help! TQ converter issues?.

Cant anybody throw out some suggestions on this. New to me 90 F350 4wd E40D truck. driven about 200 miles and all`s OK, This AM going to work Check engine light starts throwing differents flashes or codes? about 20 miles later going down the freeway the converter is going in and out of lockup like crazy. The trans was supposed to be about 30K old with a high dollar torque converter installed. Any ideas, Im damn near afraid to drive it home in fear of doin some damage.
Thank You.

Collect the codes and post here... the first thing needed is good information. Do the simple things first before you drive it again. Check all your fluid levels, make sure your lockout are in the correct position, etc. Are you sure it was going in and out of lockup? If it was chugging hard could also be a number of tuneup type components.

Again - I think the codes will point you closer to the correct direction.

Thank You, I checked the fluid when I got to work and it shows some 1/2 high on the stick. As mentioned Ive driven it to work a few times and it was OK prior. It was mentioned the brake light switch intermittenly going on causing converter unlock as it will. But with a trailer brake in the cab Id think Id see the little red light on it also flashing on and off. I was trying to document the flash pattern on the CEL but it seemed different every time it happened. It seems to physically run the same engine wise and has normal power etc. I`ll get the codes and go from there with a post.
Thank You again.
