Guys, in addition to my power window mods, I need some new door panels. LMC and NPD only go up to 91. The only other source for these panels that I've seen was Ford Parts Direct. But they wanted like $500 bucks for them. I'm not having alot of luck in central TX junk yards. Anyone else have a source they can think of? Or if someone has a set, I'm all ears. Thanks guys.
Thanks for your input guys. The junk yards are coming up with nothing so far. There are two that they told me to come and look, and I really suspect they will have them. They are huge. I just have to finish my work week. It's actually my friday. So I'll keep lookin'.
I am activly checking ebay all the time. And car-part is always my first resource, and they are coming up negative in TX. Thank you guys for helpin'
Make sure you tell them you want ones out of a gas truck. Most of them don't have more than 120k on the truck. The diesel truck ones are always worn out because they have a million miles on the trucks. I'm laughing a little when I say this but it's true. I love to go to the junkyard and find a gasser the same year. Things like hinges and switches and window motors and lock actuators are always in really good shape.
What color are looking for? I assume gray judging by the exterior color of your truck. I run across random parts locally and on the internet all the time, if I see a good pair I'll pass them along to you.
I just looked again and saw you have a tan interior. Here is a set on ebay, maybe to much, but looks like it comes with all of the power accessory switches and door lights. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-...QQcmdZViewItem
rusty, you are the man. But that's a little pricey. I'm going to have an opportunity to go visit that junk yard this weekend. They said if they are out there, $35 each. I better give that a shot before I go spending $325. Wow!! They got those priced higher than giraffe azz! But you can bet, if I can't find them soon, I'll be gettin' my ladder out. Thanks for lookin' out.
