I have Monroe (Napa) Sensa-Tracs in the front of my truck as well on all 4 corners in the Mustang and all 4 corners in a 2000 Expedition. I have been very pleased with them so far. They have a lifetime warranty as well.
I put the Monroe air-shocks in the rear of my Explorer since I carry heavy loads quite a bit as well as being empty quite a bit. Its nice to be able to dial in the air pressure depending on what I am carrying.
I've heard good things about the Monroe's, both Sensa-Tracs and Reflexes, but I've installed a couple of sets of Bilstein's on my Explorers and have been very pleased with them.
SensaTracs were designed with Explorers in mind... if you want to limit the neck snapping, side-to-side motion when entering driveways, use them. They ride smoothly, too.
If you opt for KYB Gas A Justs, wear a neck brace!
What brand of shocks would you guys recommend for my 98 xlt 2wheel drive??
Bilsteins for me anymore. I liked the SensaTracs also, but I haven't found any that ride like the Bilsteins do.
p.s. cobraxp i just got back from slc, loved it
i hit up snowbird, the canyons, solitude, and park city.
You should have let me know! Depending on the weather and how my wife feels (she is pregnant), I'll probably be on the south side of Park City this weekend....
