Transfer case swap question.
Not too cheap!
$770 for the adapter, and $190 for the linkage.....
I noticed you said your linkage is messed up on your 203.
That is the worst part of the 203. IF it wouldn't be for the linkage I wouldn't even want to change it out, yes I know it is chain driven, but it is still a pretty good t case.
I got stuck, b/c my linkage was/is messed up and it slipped out of 4wd. I then got pulled out, and started to drive away when the linkage slipped into 4wd causeing my u joint and cv joint to break and when that happened, some how my front driveshaft twisted and bent, and what was left of the driveshafts spun and him my tranny pan, bending it to hell, and causing the ATF to leak out, and it chiped a piece of the transmssion housing, and now the linkage is bent to hell.
I'm going to take that 203 out the first chance I get now.
I too thought about a double, but have change my mind after seeing the cost.
If you have what I said, you should be ok, but as previously mentioned the u joints won't be the same size. Your 75 has 1310 u joints, and the 79 has 1330, and will either require new yokes, or a hybrid u joint. I have used a hybrid u joint before, and it worked pretty good for me.
