opinions on adding stickers

I just got 2 of these over the weekend:

from here http://www.jusnesmodified.com/store/...roducts_id=215

I think I like how they'll look on the sides of the raised part of the hood.

I don't want to get the truck too "busy". I like the clean look. I added the ford-trucks.com stickers in the back. I saw these and had to order them. Do you guys think this would be too much and I shouldn't put them on there, or would they look good and I should stop with the stickers here to keep a fairly stock look.

The replies will be interesting know that some of you are fans of "pre-runner/covered with stickes look" and others are more "clean/shaved/stock" folks. I'm somewhere inbetween, more on the clean side. Just not sure if this it too far.

I'm with you. I like things on my truck, but I want them to the point, no extra stuff just stuck here or there.

I think it will look quite good on the hood flare. You're advertising your displacement...that's classic old school, it's a nice touch, IMO.

And at least you've got displacement to advertise. I couldn't see you sticking "2.3L Four Banger" on the side of your truck. But 4.0L SOHC makes it seem powerful for a truck it's size.

I say go for it!

its what you think buddy, the guy next to you who is looking at your stickers, you wouldnt know if he likes them or nt anyways.

i myself have never put performance stickers on my ride, but i have always put a cammoflauged VT stcicker, usually wih some deer tracks and a bowhuntin sticker.

nothng is worse than a honda civic with a 747 rudder wing on the back. so i think you will be ok.

Sometimes putting some time into the thought helps you make a wiser decision. I think it will look ok, and just be prepared for the challenges you'll face at the red lights.

Or you could do what my dad did and royally understate your displacement to get into races.

He put 4.3L decals on each side of a '92 GMC Sierra...with a built 454 BBC. People always thought it would be funny to run over the Sierra (especially the ricers) and had no idea what was happening when the light turned green.

I have seen pictures of trucks with those stickers on there and I kind of like them. I'm not big on a lot of stickers either but a few tasteful ones are okay. On my mustang I had 2 on each 1/4 window and 4 or 5 on the hatch glass but it was just the cool ones like my Hurst and Trick Flow and MSD stickers. I still have a whole pile of them laying around that I never used.

I thought the truck manufacturers typically placed the engine details next to the badging at the rear of the front fender or on the tailgate. You might want to consider matching these locations to maintain a consistent OE look instead of the hood.

i sold the truck before i ever put the stickers on, but if i had kept it, i think i still would have put them on the hood.

now....i've been looking for 460 or 7.5L stickers for my "new" truck.

I've seen those stickers too, I guess they're OK. I much prefer the look of the "4.0" Mustang style emblem. I have on on my tailgate, opposite the Ford emblem. If you get one, give it several coats of clear spray paint to prevent fading.

I put the Mustang 4.0 emblem on my tailgate. It gives it a nice look. Mine has already started to fade. I'll be sure to cover the replacement emblem with clear spray paint

u sure his is a 460 and not a 351? my mpgs are fairly common for my 460.

people scoff at my 11mpg, but when i was getting 13 to 16 in my 4.0 ranger, it isn't that big of a shock.

I'm sure its a 460. I was fairly surprised it was doing that well for a 460. Not much worse than my 4.0.
