I am the proud owner of a new 07 E-350 6.0 PSD Van with tow package. I have a question re: the battery charge relay. The van cam with the 7 point plug mounted and wired on the rear bumper and a brake control harness which I hooked up to a Prodigy brake controller. The lights on the controller work so I am assuming it is hooked up correctly. The van also came with a FOAB-14B192-A Battery charge relay and instructions to mount it into the jucntion box, which I did. I then started the engine and used a 12V continunity tester and connected it between the center (battery lead) post and the ground on the 7 point connector. No light. Am I missing something, or does it need to be connected to the trailer to work?
