I have been looking the last couple months for a project '55 or '56 f100, is there any other forums or websites that would have some listed for sale. The main places that I have been looking is here in the classified, ebay, and classiccartraderonline.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I willing to travel and spend up to $10K on the truck, or spend less on the truck and start restoring immediately.
Pickups limited of orange county occasinally knows where one is. Check out their boards and see if anyone knows of one. Ed Sent me an E-mail a while ago (few days) about one.
We have a list of some of the truck clubs that are out there. You may be able to contact them and ask if anyone knows of a truck for sale. They may even email their membership to find one.
There is a list at our site:
Show Me F100's is in Missouri and seem like they cover some territory. Plus you said you'd drive, so, good luck....Also one listed from Arkansas....I'm from Ohio so forgive me if that's out of your range for looking at trucks.
well depending on your skill you could always go drive around on the dirt roads and look for one sitting out in the weeds. you could darn sure get one for less than 10k most people would sell you there daily driver for 10k. it an option if you can find one you could probaly get it cheap.
Hello I know where there is one in Michigan and I know where a truck is here in Tennessee. The one in Michigan is a cab only. The one here in Tn is a complete truck that is disassembled. The cab has been painted and the frame has been rebuilt to stock specs. How far are you willing to drive? Both of these are slant cabs(53-55). If a 56 was just what you had to have I could probably locate one. One piece of advice the better a truck you start you will miles and miles and miles ahead without the aggravation. Just my .02. Thanks
Oh yeah....I should have said...check all the sites you can find...then ask Tacson where one is. He has some sort of built in radar unit to find what you want. He found mine.

I am really only interested in the '55 and the '56 (mostly '56). I am probably willing to travel about 1k miles. Any help would be appreciated in locating me a truck.
Put an ad in your local paper saying you want one. Also dont be afraid to put the Wanted Ads online in places people in your area look.
That's how I found my truck. I put an ad in the papers, mostly in the farm country, around my house. I only got one response, but it was the only one I needed.
