Test drove a '99
I'm thinking about buying this '99 SD 5.4 4x4 auto. What should I look out for? Only has 59XXX miles and seems mechanically sound and is powerful(although I'm used to a V6 so......LOL) Thanks in advance guys(and gals)

Like they said have a mechanic look it over for any fluid leaks, check the torque on the sparkplugs as they sometimes will come loose and get spit out of the engine ruining the threads. Definitely try out the 4 wheel drive systems as the auto locking hubs are notorious for failing. Other than that you should be pretty set. I had a 99 that I bought in 2001 with 40k on it and put 60k on it in 5 years. The only problems I ever had were with the ESOF 4x4 hubs and solenoid, and I had a slight head gasket leak that I had them fix under warranty. Only reason I got rid of it was someone rearended me and totalled it out.
