have an issue with hard over slow speed cornering such as in a parking lot or doing a U-turn.
at first i thought it was just the wheel geometry and the tires kinda skipping/jumping over dry pavement.
but it feels kinda like a popping down at the front wheels that stops as you straighten the wheels to come out of the turn.
Sounds like your 4x4 hubs are locked in. If you've got Electronic Shift On the Fly (ESOF), check to see that they're in the 'Auto' position, and that they really are unlocked (easiest way is to rotate the front driveshaft by hand and see if it turns freely). ESOF hubs are notorious for not unlocking due to vaccum leaks, dirty hubs, etc.
On non ESOF trucks, 'Auto' = 'Free', and again, make sure they really are free & unlocked.
all great advice. yup-its got the EOSF. after i wrote this last nite i began to wonder about those hubs--
thats exactly what it sounds/feels like the 4wd is still on.
gonna check it all out today. and keep you posted.
ok--seems they are locked up--cant turn the driveshaft--jacked it up to spin the wheels, it all turns together.
looks like the dials are a kinda buggered up as though someone has been trying to twist them with some plyers or something, i didnt try any tools, and by hand, i cant get them to turn either.
