The weather was nice so we (the wife got out there and wrenched too) decided it was time to install the Sonnax kit that I got for Christmas. Changed out the filter while we were at it and then gave her a bath (the truck, not the wife, she's next).
Anyone else do anything to their rig this weekend?
Hope everyone had a great weekend like we did. Tomorrow I start another 21 straight days.....
Cheers!

Cool, how do you like that? Did you ever get to the WW install like i saw you mentioned somewhere? I didn't do anything to my truck but today i just ordered an Oilguard for my change in 400 or so more miles.
I like the Sonnax so far. The shifts feel much better now. They are nice and firm and no hesitation or jerky shifts. I'm sure it's nothing like a BTS VB but it'll do for me for now. I really like the way she shifts now so I am happy.
The WW and the foil delete are very near the top of our list along with hutch and harpoon, lots of lights, new bumpers, bigger tires, more lift and on and on....
I need to install my Fumoto probably next weekend (oil should be due by then) if work doesn't grind me into the pavement.

Thanks Alan. Did you not have telescoping mirrors before? They look good!
You're going to love those, especially when towing something. With mine I can even see the jet ski when towing or backing it and I couldn't with my '99 and the regular mirrrors.
Saturday from 2pm till 11pm two buddies and I installed all these. Ats turbo shroud, intankprepump mod, ccv mod, bts valve body, transmission bypass line, Walker BTM, Overboost eliminator, dp-tuner 40t/60t/80e, schaeffer 9000 oil change. I didn't finish the oilguard bypass system but with the thanks to other FTE members I think I have found a place to mount it. Its a new truck with power to spare. I can't wait to tow this summer to see the difference these mods make while towing.
buddy came over and we did his 4" exhaust .. fuel filters, and installed a streamlight .. then on mine did the hutch and harpoon, and re-installed new foglights on my grille, and finished wiring up my "upfitter" switch panel
outlaw we have twins !

Hey guys... I'm moving close to doing my in-tank mods really soon and have a couple of questions.
I know that I can either lower the tank or remove the bed ('02 short bed). I'm wanting to remove the bed because it will let me get access to the top rail next to the cab and try to straighten it out from where the previous owner had a "load shift" and bent it twoards the cab.
So here are the questions.
1) How much does the bed weigh, approximately? I have a brawny 18yo son and a tough 14yo son who both want to help out on this project, but I'm not sure if we can manage the bed by ourselves, having never taken one off before. I also have a good neighbor who would be willing to help out if necessary, but I don't want to have to balance my schedule with his if I don't have to.
2) Also, what might be some tips that you guys could offer that we can prepare for ahead of time to make the removal and isntall smoother?
Pete 47ft/lbs on the bed bolts. The manual says to have 3 assistants but no weights. Me and a friend pulled a chevy short bed by ourselfs years ago and it wasn't to bad. PM me your email and I'll send you the procedure.
