The livewire comes capable of displaying the EGT, you need a thermocouple, signal converter anda firewire cable. Some places are already bundling them together.
Jermey, working on a couple mount brackets to send out to you and Matt. Still working out some issues with the EGT, (budget cost factor in play here) As I have mentioned earlier, please be patient, I will do a complete in depth write up including pictures covering the installation and features that are not covered completly in the instruction manual.
Now for a little dog biscuit as bait for the wait. You get 6 PID parameters to monitor, you pick. The only thing you need to additionally install is a thermocouple. The rest is retrived via, the OBD II port, which makes the install less than 2 hours total, including drilling/tapping the exhaust manifold. The layout of the unit is very good overall, very easy to manuver from screen to screen. Tunes load extremely fast.
Options that are user adjustable with a preloaded tune are as follows.
Agressive Tow/Haul.........yes its agressive, actually reminds me of my 03 before the first flash.
adjustable shift points in each gear change
adjustable shift firmness in each gear change
adjustable shift points at WOT for each gear.
locking the converter while coasting to aid in braking
locking the converter in 1-2-3 for racing, mileage
Jake brake option
shift pressure at WOT.
tire revs per mile
axle ratio
I have messed with a lot of them already, as it is very quick to make a change (literally 2 minutes) and am very impressed with what you can play with. I will say this, Jake Brake with locked CT will make towing 15K in very hilly terrain a cakewalk for even the least expereinced driver. Matt is sending me a custom tune tonight so I will be playing with it some more this weekend. More to follow, stay tuned............
I've been really, really good this year! I'm doin' my chores and washin' behind my ears. I'm not back-talkin' (anymore) and I'm sayin' my prayers. I'm really sorry about that thing I did last week and I'll try hard to NEVER do that again.
PLEASE bring me a shiny new SCT LIVEWIRE this Christmas? I promise to keep being good! {Little White}
Might want to re-think that wish, I have a lemonwire. Should have known better and got an xcal2. SCT deleted my response to a post on their board. They will never see another penny from me. I gave them about 9 chances to answer direct questions I had about a lemonwire for the 6.0. Not one response. LIPD has been trying to resolve my issues, however SCT's engineering department must have also worked for Ford in late 02'. Anyone wanting the specifics, PM me, I cannot re-print my email here, due to language. The xcal2 is by far the best thing going on the market, the lemonwire is just that, a lemon with wire attached to it.
That SCT customer service reminds me of the experiance I had with Hypertech three years ago with one of their tuners for a '99 5.4L F150....Apparently my truck was modded too(Intake & exhaust) much for there tunes and them causeing my engine to ping. Sent that POS back to them and stayed with the stock tune.

I was hoping that this was going to work out for you, Ryan. This is a real bummer...
Like Jerry Reed once said,...."Those who expect nothing, shall not be deceived"
There's also this...
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7
Rest assured, it all gets seen, recorded and JUDGED, so let the Man do his work. You can just do a return to SCT for full credit on an Xcal2!
