The livewire also holds 5 tunes instead of 3, which would be cool if racing or dyno running your truck. Not having to take tunes out to load tunes for racing or dyno day.

Jeff, a type K thermocouple that outputs a 0-5vdc signal, rathar than the standard 4-20ma signal. 1/8" or 1/4" npt, or a standard 1/4" probe, as I can get the thermowell fittings from work. (standard 1/4" tube to pipe fitting drilled thru for 1/4" probe dia.)

No, its not shift on the fly. It is not like the edge either as far as adjust tire sizes or defuel ect. It is just a sct xcal that holds 5 tunes, and has a monitor that looks at everything via the obd II port. Additional things (EGT) can be added. When I get it and installit, I will post everything, including pics. The price was the big reason for my decision in getting it. Still cheaper than a xcal and set of gauges.

just got done playin with it and it was fun. we need to play some more and get some extra sendors so we can monitor more stuff. The HP/tq estimator was about 1-2% off our dyno #'s which was cool on two different trucks.

Be patient, I should be receiving it on wed. then I have a few additional accessories to get to hook everything up correctley, as Jermey has eluded to. From what I saw I was impressed, cannot wait to get it into my hands/truck. If the weather stays nice I should have it done by the weekend. As promised complete writeup and pics to follow.

granny didnt bring the camera when we were playing with it but we will get some pics up of one installed by this time next week the price from SCT is $569.00. but that does not include a mount, a pyro gauge or our custom tunes. so it will be a little bit more when we get it all together.

Sounds great ! does anyone know of just a digital gauge system that doesnt tune the pcm, just read parameters and codes of course?

The Livewire can be used as such; you do not have to tune the truck in order to use the diagnostics and gauge capability.

Granted, my response to the price is prefaced by market ignorance and the fact that I'm broke most of the time, but here it goes...
OUCH!
