1986 ford bronco
302efi
independant front suspension

I want bigger tires on my Bronco but im also thinking that i want a beefed up suspension and axles from a 3/4ton or even a 1ton. Anyone else done this on there Bronco? What are the best components to swap into A Bronco for toughness and performance?

Rockwells are undoubtedly the best, but can you afford 'em??? Look at a D50IFS from a heavy 4WD Ford, or a Dana 60/70/80 depending on how big you wanna go. The guys on the Pirate BBS are probably the authorities on it, but there's also some good info on Off-Road.com's BBS.

Get on Mybigbronco.com, several guys have done d44 and d60 solid axle swaps, and are very satisfied with the results.

I can't believe i am typing this since I am a staunch supporter of the TTB suspension and drive train but, Jeff's Bronco Graveyard sells complete solid axle conversion kits to beef up the rock crawling and off-road stamina of your Bronco.
