High idle
Reading others problems on this helped with mine. When I had the clutch hydralics out last week, I discoverd the switch had dirty contacts, or worn out. My high idle only comes on when the park brake light is on in the dash.

ok, help me out a little. My I dont think my high idle has ever worked. When I first got the truck, the idle would raise and lower by a 100 or so RPM if you let it set for a while, but now it just sits with a low idle, even cold. The parking brake works fine, and I used it all the time, BUT, the parking brake light does not always come on. Does this have something to do with the idle problem ?

If the light doesn't work, the electronics doesn't know the brake is set so it won't raise the idle.
And from personal experience, You WILL drive off with the brake set. We have too much power to notice a stuck brake in the rear.
