in Kris pic the part i took out is the one between the two rubber hoses the one goes to the turbo and the other goes to the filter. the rubber hosees are held onto it by the hose clamps
Skip the pic. The green line goes into the tube as I described. Right after where the plastic CCV return tube was mounted. You can see it in the pic he posted and where it goes. Did you plug that inlet?

could i have made that any clearer? EDIT- to do the wastegate mod, you only needed to pull the red line off of the wastegate actuator canister on the turbo, plug it and that's it. Removing that green one was a no-no, as that pipe is under vacuum and can easily suck a small amount of dust in through that little hole, if unplugged.

I understand now will be putting the green line on the rubber part right now I though that when i did this ( the first thing i did not my truck) that the green line pluged into the part i tossed.
thanks for the help

I hope not. Hopefully you have not been driving in dusty conditions. I got 12hrs facing me in the AM too. Check the turbo blades when you get a chance.
will do, if the blades look bad will a WW work or am i looking at a new turbo?
I do have the dusty driving conditions not all dirt but enough
thanks
You should be more concerned with play. Lateral and axial. The rounded or sanded fins indicate sandblasting but you could still drive many a mile on that as long as everything else is healthy and you've changed oil regularly. Do you get good boost #s? If it is an early 99 then you have a WW already. A WW will work regardless, but if the turbo is failing (play) you know the deal. Don't waste the money for the new wheel to hit the housing.
just put in the gauges and driving between 60 to 70 no hills i am between 5 to 7 pounds of boost WOT i saw about 22.seanes to climb easly. when i look at the turbo tomarrow is it ok to grab the blades to see if i have any play?
Kris you keep adding up the hours and you may end up over here in Idaho
