Looking for a good power source
Ok so I just got a kit that turns after market radiator fan on at a certain temp. I am wondering of the best place to tap into a power source that only has power when the key is on. The problem I am having is when the truck is off the radiator fan keeps going on and off for about 5-10 mins and I dont like to have the battery sit that long after its been drained that much. The only spot I can think that has a power source that turns off is the fuse box under the steering wheel. Is there anywhere in the engine bay that is set up like this. Thanks for the help everybody.

Tap into the back side of a relay in your power distribution box. The relays such as your fuel pump and EEC i know for sure are 30 amp relays that could handle the load, but iffey because of what they control. What gauge wire are you talking here? That'd made a big difference as far as current draw and such.

Its 14 gauge wire but it only runs the rad. fan off of an older mx6 so I dont think it can take to much power. Maybe I will look into that. Also is there a spot anywhere that I can tap into for the air conditioning. Thanks for the help.

Ok that makes things way easier since its only 14g! You could splice power from any number of wires coming out of that power distrubution box! The AC only gets the signal to turn on when your using the AC or hav ethe defrost on, but you could prove me wrong with a simple 12 volt tester. Let me know!
