My service engine soon light came on when I bought my truck two months ago. I have only put about 1000 miles on it since. I have reset the computer twice and It still came on after about 2 mins. of run time. The truck has 128k on it. So I went to the Advance Auto this morning and had them run the computer and it pulled up the following.
I am running a short ram intake setup and flowmaster exhaust and as far as I know that is all the mods the truck has. Now the O2 sensor is beyond me but the running lean makes me think that I have a clogged injector. I have a new fuel filter I have not yet installed. I think that will help but it says only on bank 2 (by the way which is bank 1 and bank 2, I would assume the drivers side is 1 and passanger is 2). would these problems affect my gas milage I seem to only be getting 14 to 45 mpg.
One more question would a MAS of a 4.6 fit and work on a 4.2. I have a extra one in the shop and I wanted to try it when I put on my intake.
Fuel filter can definately cause problems, but it would be both banks. O2 sensors should be replace between 30 and 60K miles. If your haven't done them in a while, you might need to replace them both. Another possible cause is vacume leak.
The MAF may plug in, but you would most likely need to recalibrate the computer for the difference in diameter. Upping MAF with out tuning will cause the motor to run a little lean.
