One of my buddies has the TS performance chip and he really likes it. I'm thinking about ordering one. I know everyone says to go with the DP but I like to be different. Does anyone know any info about these guys?
TS has been around for a while and quite a few folks have used their chips with success. Basically buy what will make you happy.
There have been posts in the past on this and other forums of people switching from TS to DP chips and have been amazed at the difference in performance. Talk to Jody at DP-Tuner and you'll find out why everyone recommends his chips.

Most people who have switched to DP have liked it better than what they had. So, if you want to be different, that is your choice. The question is do you want to be one of those who later on do a switch and say "Why did I waste money on TS when I should have gone DP?" or do you want to do it right the first time and save that money.
I have a TS Chip and like it....of course I have never had a DP Chip, so can't compare. I did experience a problem when my truck wouldn't start, had to have it towed home after changing the CPS and still wouldn't start. I finally traced it to the chip. Took the chip off and it started fine, later put the chip back on and it has been fine every since, so don't know if I should blame the chip or if it might have just come loose or what. Anyway that was my only problem.
i like my ts. gets the job done, they have good tunes and can be found for half the price. everyones gonna say get dp but ts will get you were u want to go far better then stock which is what your trying to do and there tunes arent to harsh on egts. i say go for it. there also very friendly and helpful.
Thanks a lot guys....I founds a TS for $280 which is half the price of a DP. I'm just looking for a little extra push when i need it. I have a superchip right now and as soon as the ts comes in I'm gonna take that piece of crap and throw it in the trash.
I have a dp thats about a year old. funny thing I never asked jody about, mine said ts performance on it. So I guess it is a ts chip with jodys burned tunes. Does anyone know about this?
I had a TS performance chip, it was good enough to get me 309hp and 602tq on 37" tires. I switched to a DP tuner and i will never go back. I have the TS chip in used, new condition behind me, if you want it PM me and ill let it go for much less than that.
From what i understand, but im not completly sure on this is, that TS used to make all the chips for everyone, then they bought the chips from ts. Then everyone just decided to go on their own and make there own chips. Im not completly sure on this though, so do not hold me to it.
In their FAQ, they will tell you that one of their "advantages" is that the chip fits throughout the years and is not dependent on the PCM codes. Well, that is kinda of like a one size fits all. Sure, it fits. However, which fits better for the most part? One size fits all or a custom tailored suit?
I have run everyones chips... EVERYONES... Here is my list from best to worst ( and worst is still good, just not best...LOL)
1. Tadd at Elite Diesel
2. Jody at DP Tuner
3. David at Diesel Inovations
4. Dennis at TS performance... Here is a kicker, the TS chip I had was a older one, Dennis got me a new chip with some newer tunes on it that were very slick, and TS is VERY EASY to work with.
5. Tony Wildman at Total Diesel Performance... Tony is the ****e for OBS trucks but we just couldnt get it right on mine, I have heard his stuff for injectors is sweet, and Might be sending him a chip to try again.
I have a t/s chip and really like it the power is amazing. I read a lot about DP tuners but don't know how they compare to each other. I get about 18 MPG at with the cruise set at 70 mph loaded with about 2 tons. I mostly run on the 100 hp setting but turn it down for steep hills to lower the EGT's. The best I ever got was 19 mpg. These are actual mpg using the fill up method not the computer. Like I said I don't know what the DP tuner would do.
