wow isnt 15W-50 alittle too thick?

 

Not too thick for a synthetic. Thicker is better as far as protection is concerned. As for winter driving, this stuff flows at -40.F ( even still I use 10-30 in winter ) A mineral base oil is a whole different animal, so comparing weights between the two is apples and oranges.

 

Penzoil? Is that a problem?

 

No....But there's better il than Penzoil. Like Mobil 1, Castrol, Amsoil, etc...

 

I like Amsoil.
