I have a 1999 F250 Lariat Scab without cab clearance markers. I have a bed shell thats the wedge design, so its sits higher than the cab. I was thinking about getting some cab markers, but would I be able to install them on the topper since it is higher than the cab? JC Whitney has a package deal with 5 lights and all the necessary hardware and wiring. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...009974/c-10614
Would that work, or would it just be a waste of my money and time. Also, I thought about this because I've always liked the look of big rigs with all the running lights. Thanks.
I didn't look at the ones you linked to yet but,
Make sure you get nice ones and not plastic junk one that breaks down in a few years from being in the sun.
I saw a set on a topper a few months ago and I thought they looked good.
I talked to the guy and he put them there because he didn't want the hassle of installing them on his cab.
He didn't have the teardrop type like regular cab lights, he used the dual bulb rectangular (but rounded) lights like you see as clearance lights on campers and trailers.
