rear end noise

rear end noise

I have a 2000 f-150 that just started making noise in the rearend ,pulled cover off and all gears look fine ,pulled axles out ,and bearings look ok,only thing i can find wrong was pitting were outside bearing ride . does anyone know if this would make the grinding noise

Was it only doing it while turning or did it grind while driving straight?

when i would take off , changed bearings,seals and fluid, seems to help some

Ya its probably the clutch packs. Both my dads screw and my s cab did it. Most people just say put some ford friction modifyer in it. Normally does the trick. I actually put Royal purple in with some friction modifer and took care of it...
