Sway Bars
Sway bars connect the suspension of your vehicle from side to side. On a truck they will connect from drivers lower control arm to passengers lower control arm. They stiffen up your vehicle so it will have less roll and will stay 'flatter' in the curves. They are practically always installed on the front suspension and can also be installed in the back. Aftermarket sway bars usually are thicker than stock and stiffen up the suspension more than the stock bars. I think on trucks (except on lowered road racing vehicles) they play a minor role. They are more important to people that want to autocross etc.
