Best lower intake for 92 F-150 with the 302 motor with these components.... 302HO camshaft, GT40 iron heads stock and some 1.7 cobra roller rockers? If the GT40 lower intake is the best for this application what all components do I need to make the GT40 lower intake fit on my truck besides using the upper GT40 intake manifold. I am really interested in matching the heads up with some good flowing intakes also? I am not looking to spend a whole lot for this setup either, just trying to match up the heads better than using the stock lower that's it plain and simple....
You will need the air intake set-up as well as throttlebody and related items from a 93-95 Lightning to use the GT40 intake. The throttlebody is a Mustang type and it will be on the drivers side on a truck.
the thing is your 302 intake flows pretty well. might try to find a phenolic spacer for to go betweent he upper/lower. this will increase runner length. run this for awhile with that combo and see how it performs. those gt40 intakes are everywhere for a 302
