so i hit a tree and long story short i cant figure out how to replace crumplezones.. like i mean the obvious is to cut them off of a doner and weld them on... but idk you guys tell me? i only hit the thing doing like 20 but where i hit i was sliding sideways and it doubbled over the ''frame horn'' if you will. so yeah.
Depends on where you live you might have problems selling it and/or getting it inspected after you mess with the unibody. If it's just the radiator support those are fairly easy to replace but anything else takes know how to get it lined up correctly. And it will be a pita to line up I had to give up on a friend's Integra because of it.
so ive repaired my escape with the exception of the fog lamps. and the hood needs to be matched colour wise. But none the less! its done. i dont mind trees any more. haha i have pics if any of you would care to see. now i just need to fix my 4wd. lol
After. Cost me 958 dollars out of pocket. my father and i did all the work ourselfs. still need to find ac lines... was farily easy after i drilled all of the factory spot welds.. those suck ****...
it was on there when i boughtit. havent had time to change the oil. i have flushed the dif and tranny fluid though. oil looks/feels new. ill get around to it.
Impressive work. How's it handle? Under a grand ain't bad considering it cost some clown's insurance about $900 when he rearended by then-new '06. Those OEM parts or aftermarket?
By the way, I'll save you some time - Fram filters s*ck. They have lousy anti-bleedback valves (whatever they are called) and the oil drains back into the pan. I used to use them and always had valves rattle. Switched back to Motorcraft and no more rattle.
i personally run wix's. like i said. it was on the thing when i bought it! lol ive got a 350 in my 55 chevy i built. all i run in it is wix. and it handles just like it did. i bought all the parts on parts train dot com. they are aftermarket oem replacements.. but yeah everything was good quality and fit up verry nicely. itook it through some mud this weekend.. and later hit a tree with a 4 wheeler. i was doing about 40 im banged all to hell. but ill live...
