Going back Stock!!!!

Bought 07 CC F250 6.0 FX4, quickly put K&N Air charger on it and Banks Six Gun with the Power PDA. After 3 months hearing weird knocking sound upon deacceleration, at this point would rather go back stock rather than risk warranty void.

Could the noise you are hearing upon deacceleration be turbo fart???

Please be more descriptive with the sound.
I agree with phish555 could be the turbo by-passing pressure out the intake (better know as "turbo fart") because there is no let-off valve with these turbos.

I think you are over reacting to the "turbo dumping" you are hearing throught the open air box you installed.

Put the stock air box back on and see if you still hear it as it is a closed system and muffles the turbo preasure boost dump. Then decide what you want to do.

Back to stock also!

Returned my 04 F350 FX4 to stock air cleaner. doesnt seem to have changed performance at all. Everything is still working great. Also was tracking mileage from before the install of the Airaid filter, after install and then later return to stock. No noticable change in MPG or performance. Oh well, live and learn. Should have read the forum alot more before i installed.

True... lots of useful info here.

However, 2/3 of us say to stay stock and 1/3 of us here say to go ahead and mod away... so even then it gets confusing... and you (and others) will just buy it anyways and learn the hard way... but at least you have learned and you will learn more tomorrow.

Stick around... FTE is addictive... and there is no cure for it... they will probably cure AIDS before they cure the FTE addiction.

Don't fool your self. The turbo fart hasn't gone away, just out of hearing range with the stock filter box on. I too went back to stock, and the noise has gone away. If I listen very carefully though, under certain conditions its still there.
PS. I wouldnt have gone with a K an N though. Mine was a Green filter put out by Quadzilla. It may end up back on.
