Well, the answers sure are mixed on staying stock or adding aftermarket performance products. Some for and some against.
If you do add the performance products, ie air intake, some type of programmer, exhaust and such, how important are the additional guages and which ones should you definently have?
Skip the intake/cold air box. The stock is way more than adaquate. In order of importance to me.........
1. Gauges, Egt, Boost, Oil temp, (most opt for trans temp, my opinion it should be the 4th gauge if going with 4) Trans temp. Once the gauges are in, add away, you can also track what effect the performance mods have on your truck.
2. Exhaust, simple here, toss the cat and muffler, put a piece of straight pipe in their place, $100.
I agree with mrxlh on the airbox issue. I put my stock one back on and can't tell a bit of difference in power. Any one wanting to buy an AM air intake, pm me...
