Snow...Ice...

Anybody else got any good stories today?

I drive 12 miles to work...got within half a mile before I slid off of the road.

I was in my little car...pulled right out of the bank all on its own. I was so proud...

I got there fine, but classes were cancelled AFTER my first class of the day... the interstate looked like a parking lot when I went past though, due to an accident a few miles up the road... eastbound I80 was blocked by a jack knifed rig...

guy went into the ditch with a gooseneck full of hay, unhooked the trailer, pulled the truck out, unloaded all the hay, and the trailer is still sitting in the ditch. 4 or 5 other cars got stuck also since they had to stop for us on a pretty good sized hill. but on the up side we did some pretty good sledding behind a truck! other than that, saw alot of dummies sliding around, but nothing really exciting.

I was headed to work and could not get stopped at the first intersection I came to, and I slid right through it. Luckily there were no cars coming.

Not a half mile from the house there were about 7 vehichles having a bad day - two cars and a truck in one ditch, a Ranger that slid right off a curve and nosed into some trees, a car that had been hit head-on from someone who slid into them, a tow truck high centered on the edge of the road, and down the road another 1/4 mile there was an SUV partially off in the ditch sideways blocking the road.

At that point, I turned around and went home for a couple hours to let the road crews do a little work.

I didn't see much yesterday, but this morning on the drive to work, I saw a Plymouth Neon sitting sideways in a snow bank. Made me wonder how in the world he got in there...didn't look like a wreck...must have been a skid with some over correction I'm guessing....Dude was out of the car, so I'm assuming he was fine...but I'm pretty sure that car will still be there on the way home.
