How many miles in the engine?

Im currently thinking of buying a friend's 97 Expedition. Its got the 5.4 w\196,000 miles. How many more miles can I expect to get out of this engine?

depending on how the truck was taken care of. a friend of mine has a 97 exped. with the 4.6 and 246000 miles and it still runs strong, has been maitnanced on time with the occasional late oil change (about 1500 miles over the 5000 mile oci).

most mods will last about 300,000 miles with good maintance
