today we got a bunch of snow i try to put it in 4x4 the transfer case went in but the 4x4 dint work it has auto locking hub what can i do to see if the worn out i was thinking of puting mannual hubs on it is this a goog idea?
What did you do to engage the hubs? On my truck (not sure about others), I have to put the truck in reverse and back up 10 or 15 feet to engage the automatic hubs. After that, put it in drive and go. Have to reverse again after taking off 4wd to disengage hubs.
Every truck I have had with them .And had problem with them . I had to back up to disengage. What my book says. My new 94 had factory auto hubs $$$ like $400.00 +++ put on couple months before I bought it. They now have 15000 miles on them . I figured they are new I'll use them. Well I got stuck on flat in 6 in snow and hubs just shaped and popped. I used my wife Malibu to pull it out of drive..My dad the dodge guy had to pull in just when unhooking truck . I'll never hear end of it. Auto's suck
