Who would take the chance on buying a 170000 mile truck? I know many have more miles than that, but there is a better understanding when you put the miles on one over someone else you don't know. I am limiting the amount I spend because I don't want to get upsidedown on another vehicle loan, I don't like that feeling. I expect whatever I buy to run over 100k for me, and I plan on doing the fuel system and many other mods, but I can't spend large funds on injectors and pumps and the like right after buying the truck.

if its been maintained somewhat properly, you should see double the current mileage, plus, if you plan on dumping 2 or 3 k right off the bat, you should be golden, but the issue from there is the tranny, a stock tranny with those miles probably wont hold up too the mods, so that for me would be the first to get the money.
