steering column very loose
I have a 95 ford f-350 w/ a manual transmission, and my steering wheel is very loose. It has a lot of play in it, like I have a bad bearing in it. I pulled the wheel, and the column cover, and from there it looked like quite the chore to get inside the column to replace the bearings. Anybody ever done this, or would it be easier to just get a new column from a junkyard?? Also to go along with this, my cruise control does not work, and I have no blown fuses. Wondering if the slop in the column has something to do with the cruise control. Any suggestions are appreciated!

junk yard YES
stealership wants almost 100.00 for the bearings in there
and very hard to change out
cruise is poss. the clock spring
that big flat plastic thing with the flat wire tape
under the steering wheel
