Blown injector 0-ring?

I have read on here that white smoke could be a blown injector o-ring, if that is true does the smoke usually clear up when the truck warms up or is it constant white smoke? My truck isn't performing like I feel it should after my DP Tuner so I am trying to igure out maybe why. My truck smokes for about 10 min during warmup but then stops.

No, I have it in the 80ec tune and I usually leave it there all the time. Should I be warming up i the stock position?

Jody recommend getting the truck fully up to operating temp before switching to a tune. Cold thick oil and advanced timing are not good companions.

Good to know, thanks amiller93. Is it common for the truck to make a fairly loud tat tat tat tat sound under high throttle with the 80 ec or 120 tune?

It will tap louder if the engine is cold. Also air in the fuel will cause loud tapping have you done the in tank and pre pumps yet?

Truck should never smoke. I have never had a stock setting on any of my chips...

Can't go with you on that one. My truck does not like the higher tunes when it's cold out. Does much better in the stock setting. Not that you are wrong, just what I have seen. In the summer, just crank in any setting. In the winter, stock. BTW, my truck smokes just a little, white, initially, when extremely cold but clears up quick. No smoke when warm out or when it is warm.

Clatter clatter when cold, (though a lot better after fuel mods), but much better when warm After that, turn the switch and giddyup.

You have a healthy truck CSIPSD.

No, I should have added to that, when you start yes white smoke is normal... But after a few minutes this should go away... OP'er is talking like his has white smoke issues all the time... this will have nothing to do with cold start or chip pos.

The hutch mod is my next mod, after I get my 4" lift, new wheels and 37" tires opn this weekend. 10 minutes might be an little longer than the time it acually smokes, it only does it when it is warming up. Sounds like it is normal so I should have nothing to worry about except a leaky turbo pedistal. I need to figure out what I am going to do with that. Van turbo vs 1.0 housing from beans?
