forged rods ?
I have a 03 with the junk rods. How much is a set of used rods(100,000 miles) from a 99 worth and how much horsepower can these rods take? Is it worth it to change to these rods which can be gotten reasonable cheap or buy the good rods for around 2000-3000 bucks? I don't plan on building outrageous power but you never know where it will stop and i hate to tear the engine apart once and have to do it again cause i didn't put strong enough rods in but i hate to spend 2000 dollars more on a set of rods if the 99 hardened rods will work? Thanks for any advice.

I sold a set of Forged rods on ebay for $250 that i had and decided not to use. They were perfect excluding bearings. I was on ebay the other week, and i saw someone copied my listing from my sale into their listing, and they are selling them again for $250, but it's not the same seller who bought my rods. Dieselinnovations sells new Forged IH rods for $480. Check 'em out.

Your junk PMR's are fine until you are above 400hp... really its about 430 or so if you dont use drugs.
Your going to have to stud it at that point anyway, so wait until your ready to go for it and then go all out.
