Try this !
I removed the throttle body and cleaned it with throttle body cleaner. Don't use Carb cleaner, it removes the protective layer on the butterfly valves and allows it to collect particles easier. While I was at it, I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor for less than $30.00 at A.Z. since it is almost impossible to replace with the throttle body in place. Go ahead and replace the gaskets. They only cost $3.50 for throttle body and air intake control valve on right side of throttle body.
I would recommend removing the intake manifold and cleaning it real good even though I didn't. I will do this later. There was no gasket available tonight and I couldn't wait.
The throttle response is very visible !!
After doing this cleaning, I had to turn the idle down from 1500 RPM's to about 675 RPM's. That's how much of a difference it made.
Took a grand total of a few hours and the same amount of cold beverages of choice.
Hope this helps at least one person.

oops. i've already used carb cleaner to do one side of the throttle body. it says on the can that it is safe for FI. oh well. big difference then? the guy that overhauled my motor didn't clean anything on the motor.
all the blow by that came through the air cleaner gummed up in the throttle body and intake. the intake is horribly filthy. i'm mad at the guy that did the work. one of these days i will have to get it off and clean it good. any specific type of cleaner for the intake??
