Injectors

Could anyone tell me where is the best place to purchase injectors? On the cylinder contributions test, 2 and 7 repeatedley come up bad. I replace the seals on all injectors and moved 2 and 7 to 3 and 4 and now they come up bad, so I'm convinced that they need to be replaced, but the prices are outrageous.
2003 7.3 - Number on Injectors is AD1831551C1 and under that is 55142540692.
Thanks, Phillip

Whoa, let me make sure I have this straight. 2 and 7 failed, you moved them to hole 3 and 4 and now those are reading bad? IOW, is it the same injectors reading bad in the 3 and 4 hole or is the 2 and 7 hole still reading bad after the move?

He's saying the number 2 and number 7 injectors (we'll call the injectors Ralph and Stanley to make it easy) showed bad on his test, so he moved Ralph and Stanley to position number 3 and position number 4 injector holes. Now, after the move, Ralph and Stanley are still showing bad, on his test, even in their new homes.

Sounds like a perfect reason to upgrade to better performing injectors!

I wish I had a Ralph and Stanley that were giving out. Then the wife would give me the green light sooner, instead of making me wait and being fiscally responsible. That's no fun!

Since your truck has been down this long I assume you have come up with alternate transportation. If that is the case then why not send your two bad injectors to Beans and have them reworked? I think its only about $100 to have one rebuilt.... OR FOMOCO @ $300 each plus core.

There's a guy on e-bay with a store called diesel care and performance. He sells injectors by the peice. Go into car and truck parts and type in 7.3 injector in the search at the top. Hope this helps Lancer!
