Christmas already
This year I have treated myself and my SuperDuty to some goodies.
5 Ion Alloy 165s, 16x10

5 Interco (SuperSwamper) TRUXUS STS A/T 35 x 12.50 R16, 1 of them blemished straight from Interco. I really don't care how it looks since it's going to be a spare.
Cage Offroad 2.5" Leveling Kit
Lund Cold Front Grill inserts
New headlights
I'm still waiting on the headlights. The tires and suspension won't be installed till the 20th. I would do it myself, but after working on vehicles all day at work, I don't want to work on my stuff. Plus, my truck won't fit into my garage and there's snow on the ground. I'll have pics up of the stuff when I get my camera working again.
Next year's christmas list to the IRS... removal of my gay vinyl sticker, and black 2 tone strip painted on.
After looking around for rims for my wife's Highlader, I ran across the Ion Alloy. Looked just like the DC-1s, but I loved the diveted rim edge better. But the initial price I found left my jaw on the floor. They wanted $160 per rim, well over the DC-1. Looking around and around I found them for $125. Well then I ran across CarolinaClassicTrucks.com They didn't have any price listed, and a lot of times I hate emailing for a price qoute because I never seem to get an answer back.
I decided to play the "we'll beat the price game" just to see. Usually places will beat by $1 or so... LOL. Well I was knocked on my butt... $113 per rim, usual price. So I ordered the 5 rims, with 2 open center caps. Thinking $650 isn't that bad. Boxes came in, and I began the christmas like merriment of ripping stuff open. To my surprise no only did I get the 5 rims with 2 caps, but a complete set of lugnuts (4 rims + 3 extra for spare mounting) and valve stems.
I was used to places making me order a side kit for everything, and here it is just thrown in.
The Leveling kit was fun. UPS pulled up right as I was installing my Lund Grill Inserts. I saw the guy disappear, reappear hauling one of the springs. "SWEET" I went running over, the guy came back with the other one, and said he had 2 boxes to get as well. I reached in and grabbed one spring, figuring the guy gets payed to bring stuff up to the house. Glad I only did one, Cage didn't skimp at all 75lbs each. The UPS guy even grunted carrying up his spring to the garage.
Well enough babbling, usual giddy present opening self. Love this time of year. I'll have pictures ASAP.

Ok, now for the review. I LOVE the look, and the fact I can actually see at night.
The bad side. The 2 bottom mounting tabs on the right assembly broke off during shipping. Whoopty do, I can plastiweld these right back on. Did just that and they worked just fine. Then I realize exactly how much these are going to **** me off installing it. The "great" and so "expertly" designed top mounting clips (which install into the top adjuster hole for the old lights) 3 of 4 broke off while trying to push them in. Oh I just love these types of things... oh really I do.
So how to fix this... idea, just take a screw with a large flat washer into the back of the plastic. And now they're mounted, though I can say I had to have been a sight when the first clips broke off, and the beautiful language I have just came rolling out in steam from behind my mask. (BTW it was about 12 degrees outside when I decided to do this)
