Well my friends, it has been mighty chilly lately in good ol Berkshire County, MA (as well as most of the country) and the beastly 93 F-150 Flareside has actually been running like a champ and I have been putting some serious miles on it lately too, no complaints there (knock on wood)
I have noticed one thing, the Check Engine Light comes on only when its really cold out AFTER the engine has warmed up and Im well into my journey...but its only when its less then lets say 10-15 degrees out, above that the light never comes on. I figure it probably isnt too much to be concerned with after all the thing has been running fine but does anyone have any insight into the cause of this?
The engine computer has some insight. Pull the codes and see what it is complaining about. Run a google search for "eec-iv self test" and follow the instructions.
