It died
Hey-
So I was driving my 1988 F150 5.0 5spd home when it started having issues. Whenever I would come to a stop and push in the clutch, the engine would sputter and die. It would then take a few tries to start it back up along with some tapping on the gas pedal. This worked for a while, but then when I was going up a bit of a hill it just died. Kinda like it was being rolled along with the clutch out, in gear. The engine was turning, but there was no power. When I tried to restart, it would turn for a bit, then the starter would stop with a clunk. I had to tow her home. So any ideas are appreciated as this is my primary vehicle and I need her back on the road.
