Stuck in 4x4

Hey there folks. I've got a small problem. My truck is a 98 F150 4x4 Supercab, 4.6 with electronic shift on the fly 4x4 and just over 150,00 miles. Just had a nice snow here in Ky; the truck shifted into 4x4 OK, but now won't come out! I've tried replacing the switch on the dash(didn't help), and checking all the wires to the transfer case. Every thing looked alright to me. I've checked all fuses and relays that I can find. Is there something I could be missing? I've got a Haynes manual, and it really didn't give me too much information. I hope someone here can give me an idea which way to go now. Thanks in advance!

do a search you should find something... I bet it has something to do with the vacuum switches under the hood.

I'll give it a try. Thanks! Also, are there any fuses for the elec shift other than the one under the dash, and the mega fuse under the hood? Could the electric motor or solenoid itself be bad? And if so, how can I check those?
Thanks again!

Xcase Motors are known to go bad in these model year trucks. The clutch plates rust up and the GEM module can't read the position the xcase is in so it goes into a default/safe mode(Do nothing!!)....
