What gives? I just installed a new Pioneer and now I don't have dash lights in my 88 Bronco. Any ideas? I did have to cut the factory wiring harness (didn't realize they made a adapter clip until it was too late!).
You may have short in one of the wires. I installed a pioneer deck into my g/f's car and on of the wires wasn't covered compleatly, and it was shorting out different things. I pulled the radio out and made sure that all the wires were connected properly and things started to work. So, check the wires, make sure there all connected correctly and make sure that there aren't any wires touching each other makeing a crossed wire or a short. If its not that then i'm really not sure what to say but check it out.
Yeah! I fixed the problem! I had mistakenly used the dash light wire (blue/red) as the ground wire. Once I hooked that wire to the 2 orange wires (one from the radio and one from the truck), I had joy. It turns out that the ground was actually the red/pink wire, go figure! Thanks for your help though........
