Hey all, i wanted to post this when i first saw this in a magazine but i was just looking at an old popular mechanics(april 06) and i saw a picture of this. dont know if anyone has talked about it but here it is.
I guess it will sell in California. Elsewhere the crowd I see driving Broncos find them hard to give up and want a real Bronco replacement, not a over customized, chop top boulevard cruiser. I think they missed the mark.
hehe..good one Number Dummy. I wonder of they even knew about the locomotive.

Those locos passed from the scene over 25 years ago. The only place you'll see one today is in a RR museum. The film "Silver Streak" features one of those locos, which were used nationwide by all the RR companies for decades. Just the graphics were different from company to company.
Whoever thought up that name, IMO, was clueless as to what the Super Chief used for motive power. Maybe they looked at the overall scheme of the passenger train, with its aluminum siding, and wild for the time paint scheme.
Being old, I had the joy of riding in those trains, way back when.
